FUNERAL PRICE LIST
(As from 1st January 2020)
At William WHITMEY Independent Funeral Directors, we believe in providing a service that is second to none, whilst also offering value for money. To make it easier for everyone, we have designed our price list so that it is clear, with no hidden costs or surprise invoices and will hopefully make it simpler for our families to choose the best service for them or their loved one.
OUR ‘SIMPLE’ NON-ATTENDANCE OPTION: £1495.00 (TOTAL COST)
All funeral directors are bound by trading standards to offer a basic/simple funeral option. This is also to help those families, who in these difficult economic times, are trying to keep an eye on their finances, or for those who may be dealing with the funeral of someone who has sadly died but left little or no provision for the cost of a funeral. Please note that this option is not open to alteration.
OUR ‘TRADITIONAL’ OPTION: £2750.00 (TOTAL COST)
For this, we provide all necessary funeral services, including a Rookwood Oak Coffin, gloss finished and fully fitted throughout. This option does not however include hygienic treatment of the deceased or viewing at our Chapel of Rest. The hearse will meet you at the crematorium for a funeral at 09.00 or 09.30 on a date that is suitable to you (where possible), ourselves and availability at the crematorium. Please note that this option is not open to alteration.
OUR ‘ELEGANCE’ OPTION:
Price from £1600.00, plus Disbursements (Approx. £1300.00)
Our ‘ELEGANCE’ option is designed for you to create your own bespoke funeral. The initial cost comprises of all disbursements, removal of the deceased from the place of death to our Private Chapel of Rest (10-mile radius), provision of our hearse, all administration costs funeral arrangements and staffing requirements. You may choose your place, date & time of the funeral (subject to crematorium/cemetery availability) and you can elect to leave from your own home or any other appropriate location. You can then choose the services you require from the list below. By selecting the services in this way, you will be in full control of the price you pay.

Some staffing and mileage excesses may apply to some funerals, especially those outside of the local area. Please speak to your funeral arranger about any queries you may have.
TRADITIONAL OPTION
| Service & Administration Charge to Include: Services of the funeral director to direct the funeral, and for the provision of four pallbearers. Arranging interview, and the completion of all legal paperwork. Advice and guidance on registration and any assistance needed throughout the whole funeral arranging process. | £995.00 |

Terms and Conditions of Business
The funeral account will be sent immediately after the funeral and must be paid within 14 days. Interest of 3% above National Westminster Bank Base Rate is chargeable on any outstanding accounts. (Full Terms and Conditions provided at time of booking or available separately on request). Please ask about our Funeral Finance. We normally require 50% of the total cost of the funeral to be paid at time of booking.
